pronounced /fәˈtɒɡrәfi/
Finally had good weather for the first time in forever. Spring has finally arrived, and for the first time in a year I dabbled in a bit of photography again. Photography is a skill i'm always looking to improve as i am generally lazy with it, point and shoot is my method, shooting on auto most of the time. But since getting a cheap zoom lens my shots often come out over exposed so it forces me to use the manual mode to gain the right exposure, and its making my photo confidence grow. These are some of my shots from my 8 mile walk today.

It's not Friday and i'm not in love!
Picture the scene, your stone broke, alone in the flat, bored out of your mind, desperately trying to avoid uni work, what do you do? Jump around on photo booth and make a movie! This is my second, possibly my third attempt of anything moving image based... ever, made in imovie. It's not anything amazing, but for a novice like me, I think it's quite good :)

A Sense Of Place

This is a mock up for my Sense of Place brief, with my chosen place being the Nottingham canal. This is designed to be a book documenting a journey under a bridge, from one side to the other, each two images being a double page spread in the book. This is still at an early stage and still needs a fair bit of development, and hopefully when all is done I am going to screen print it, but first I need to find suitable stock to print onto.

The small thumbnail above shows the whole narrative in order of the journey and gives an idea of the format as the book is designed to fold out to show the book in its entirety, although you cant really see it, you get the general idea.

Screen Fiends
Step into my office...
I've been without a decent workspace for ages, working mostly from the Mac Suite at uni as my recent accommodations weren't really suitable as working environments. Now with my Ikea desk and king of all swivel chairs, I will now hopefully be able to be more productive when at home :) - smiley face.
